This set of games was created in spring 2018. The chapters and its categories are based on the textbook Tu mundo 2nd. edition used at Irvine Valley College. These games are free to use for educational purposes (giving appropriate credit would be appreciated).
If you are not familiar with this TV quiz game show, you can read about it here. I usually divide my class of 40 students in groups of five, give each group/row a number for easy identification, and provide them with a call bell to ring in when a student knows the answer. Other effective ways of "ringing in" are to have students raise their hand or stand up (I prefer the latter). I keep track of the scores on the board where it's visible for everyone.
To play the game, click on the desired chapter below, click on the "enable editing" button at the top, and press the F5 key to start. If you want to skip the music, click on the top green square, and it will take you directly to the first main board. By clicking on the bottom green square, it will take you to the Double Jeopardy section. Click the yellow arrow at the bottom of each slide to return to the main board, and click on the yellow star when ready to move on to the Double Jeopardy section or the final Jeopardy question.
If you're an instructor and wish to receive a copy of the answer key, send your request through the contact us section in the home page. Have fun with your class!
